The Miami River Art Fair is the first and only International Contemporary Boutique Art Fair in the Downtown Miami-Brickell area during Art Basel week showcasing selected National and International Galleries, Special Projects and Curated International Pavilions.

The 3rd Edition of the Miami River Art Fair will take place December 4 – 7, 2014 in the Downtown-Brickell Miami Convention Center. To celebrate the third anniversary of the MRAF on December 4 from 6-11pm the Opening Night Preview will benefits the Little Dreams Foundation, Make dreams come true, founded by Orianne and Phil Collins.

On December 6, the MRAF will be host of a Fine Art Gala Auction presented by ArtRev Auction House, featuring artwork by Marcel Mouly, Salvador Dali, Leory Neiman, Peter Max and Bernard Oulie among others, with a welcoming Champagne cocktail and where each attendee will receive a complimentary work of art.

The Miami River Art Fair 2014 will offer 50,000 square feet of both indoor and outdoor exhibition space with world-class artists and galleries from 30 countries, in an indoor booth setting at the Riverfront Hall – inside the James L. Knight International Center. This indoor exhibition space overlooks the one-of-a-kind outdoor Miami River Sculpture Mall which will feature monumental sculptures alongside luxury yachts docked on the banks of the historic Miami River. The MRAF 2014 will also feature the Riverfront Hall Terrace and the Riverfront Mural Hall.

The Miami River Art Fair will present a diverse range of curatorial concepts, with more than 10 cutting-edge Special Projects and Galleries by renowned figures and emerging artists from around the world.

The MRAF 2014 welcomes a collection by Giuseppe Piovesan (Brazil-Berlin) as a Special Guest of this year and  Latest collection of ADing (China) as a Honorary Guest; the International Pavilion presented by Nina Torres Fine Art (Miami) showing works of artists around the world and the new collection by Herwig Maria Stark from Vienna; a special presentation of Russian artist Viatcheslav Plotnikov among others.

Feature in this edition an Art and Environment Project that include Ruben Santurian (Uruguay), Manuela Cimmino (Italy) and a Live performance by the artist Boris Jean (Paris), who will engage children creating recycled artwork. The Photo Pavilion presents new material by Roberto Rocco (Italy) Walter Rodriguez (Peru), Craig Denis (USA) and Lucie Drlikova (Czech Republic);  And the espectacular production of the Multimedia & Performance Art Sation presented by United Vision.

Iinternational galleries present works of different artists: Konzeptuart Gallery (USA) presenting latin artists Carlos Zerpabzueta, Martha Rodriguez and Ricardo Garcia; three Mexican artists, Miguel Millo, Pablo Esteban Sanchez, Sabino Guisu, are presented by FV Contemporary Gallery (Mexico); Galeria Galiano (Cuba) presenting the amazing works of Mabel Poblet and Nelson Dominguez; Art History Consulting (Germany) presenting some artists from Germany, Switzerland and USA; Fufu Art Gallery (China) presenting works by Dong Quing and Zenghui Li; Solo booth by Pedro Yaba Gallery from Angola, Fanny Karchmer and Jessica Feldman from Mexico; the Colombian artist Wolfrand Mercado is represented by Shakjo Art Gallery and the Dominican artist Pablo Palasso and Oscar Abreu are represented by Boutaleb Gallery; ExpoArt from Canada presents Korean artist Parc Dae Cho.

Additional highlights in the Riverfront Hall will include: an amazing multi- disciplinary live performance by Daniel Pontet (Uruguay) with award winning musicians as Federico Britos, Roberto Perera, Jorge Alfano, the UOM or Daniel Fiorda & Eduardo Blared and Jorge Garcia creating art with feet where dance and music come together as one fusion and involve people in a unique live experience.  

Finally, the RiverWalk Sculpture Mall will showcase artworks by Emma Anna (Australia), Balancing Sculptures (Poland), Lugufelo (Venezuela) and Manuel Carbonell (Cuba) and the Live Performance by Erin Barylski.

About the MRAF’s Director and Founder Nina Torres:  she also is currently Director and Chief Curator at Nina Torres Fine Art MIAMI. For over 20 years, Nina Torres has been actively participating in the international art market, specializing in Modern and Contemporary Latin American Art. Nina has curated and overseen over 200 exhibitions at international venues, including the “Europalia Biennial of Art -Brussels, Belgium”, and the “XII Festival Del Centro Historico Ciudad de Mexico”.
